Statistical tables. graphs Statistical series. Sorting. Frequency distributions. Concentration measurement. The theoretical distribution of random variables and examples of their occurrence in engineering practice. (For example, alternative distribution, hypergeometric, binomial, Poisson, multinomial, exponential, Weibull). Accuracy of measurement and statistical calculations. Basic theory of errors. Estimation theory for basic statistical characteristics, confidence intervals. Testing statistical hypotheses. Assumptions, principles, parametric and non-parametric tests. Analysis of variance and planning methods experiment. Methods of examination dependencies. Simple and multiple regression and correlation analysis, the assumptions necessary for its successful application in practice. Analysis of the relationship between qualitative variables. Time series. From the diagram, balancing various types of time series curves, the issue of determining the trend and its extrapolation. Indexing methods, indices of extensive and intensive variables, examples used in engineering analysis. Statistical Process Control. Principle, regulatory limits and criteria. Statistical inspection. The principles build upon acceptance sampling plan comparison and the acceptance measurement. Basics STATISTICA statistical software and its use in solving engineering problems of practice. Fundamentals of statistical control module software MS excel.

Learning outcomes
The methods discussed in the course Engineering statistics are not substitutable important especially in the technical practice because it allows not only a description and classification of events and information, but also as a means for the description and evaluation of the expected phenomena, verifying hypotheses for basic sets of data obtained from the analysis of samples.
Competence in the fundamentals of Engineering statistics, the student will be able to solve practical problems related to this issue.
Prerequisites
Successfully completed course Probability and Statistics.

Assessment methods and criteria
unspecified
A necessary condition for obtaining credit is at least 70% attendance at seminars. In addition, credit will be given only if the student succeeds in at least 70% of tests and assignments.
