Course content
1. Introduction, main parts of computer, hardware configuration 2. Utilization of computers in technology, 2D design (CAD) 3. Possibilities of using 3D design SolidWorks, CATIA and INVENTOR in technical practice, advantages, limitations 4. Introduction to computational programs ADAMS, ANSYS 5. Introduction to computational programs ADINA, COMSOL, etc. 6. Graphical programming systems, introduction to LabVIEW 7. Introduction to programming and possibilities of using MATLAB 8. Spreadsheet EXCEL and its use in specialized calculations, data processing from experiments 9. Spreadsheet EXCEL and its use for graphical presentation of results and database data processing 10. Use of other programs (WORD and POWERPOINT) in engineering activities, preparation of documents with graphic elements, forms and scientific and technical calculations for publishing 11. Create a model model in the selected program environment

Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities of solving mathematical and technical tasks on a personal computer and to create a habit of writing texts and presenting results in the currently used form.
- the student gains an overview of the program and technical equipment of the faculty and its use in engineering - The student will get an overview of the use of computer technology in the field of modeling of technical systems and in the use of computers in drawing documentation students are able to use Excel spreadsheet for specialized calculations, data processing and creation of graphical outputs from experiments.
