Course content
|
1. Area figures: line, triangle, circle; appropriate theorems with applications. 2. Conic sections, osculating circle, tangents. 3. Spatial figures: circumference, volume. 4. Trigonometry application: vector resolution, triangle solving and trigonometry theo-rems. 5. Monge projection: point and line, relative position of straight lines. 6. Monge projection: plane, plane positions, projection of plane, main lines of plane, point and plane. 7. Monge projection: straight line and plane, line and plane intersection, point and plane distance. 8. Monge projection: mutual position of lines, area figures in general plane, intersection line of planes. 9. Monge projection: intersection construction of plane figures lying in general planes. 10. Monge projection: simple bodies, cube, prism, pyramid, etc.; bodies' position. 11. Monge projection: body and plane, body section, plane rotation and tilting. 12. Monge projection: affinity, body intersection, lateral surface of a solid. 13. Developable surface, transition surface, surface intersection.

Learning outcomes
|
Deals with practical knowledge and usage of the finite geometric figures, being constructed with the aid of rulers and a pair of compasses, two-plane projection, conic sections, spirals, involute, etc., including the solid geometry (intersections and developments). The subject itself is a prerequisite for the Engineering Drawing and other technical subjects.
