Course content
1. Introductory items on the soil, on the signification of soil. International documents of soil protection. 2. Soil as a component part of the environment. Fertility. Function of the soil - ecological, environmental and social-economical. 3. Soil composition, inorganic and organic components. Soil water, soil air. 4. Soil characteristics - physical, chemical and biological 5. Evolution of soils - pedogenesis. Pedogenesis factors, main pedogenic processes, stratigraphy. 6. Taxonomy and classification of soils. Taxonomy classificatory system. 7. Land resources and their protection. Global and regional problems with adulteration of soils. 8. Land evaluation and assessing soils 9. Soil erosion classification. Erosion protection in agricultural landscapes. 10. Cultivation and reclamation of soils. 11. Real estate cadastre and evidence of soils. 12. Hygiene and monitoring of soils. 13. Legislative standard specifications in the land resources. 14. Time reserve or optional topics.
