Course content
1.Origins of philosophy, the so called neolithic revolution, relation of philosophy and concept of nature in myth and politics. Introduction to philosophy: concept and definition, examples from the history of the concept of philosophy, division of philosophy, relation of philosophy and particular science, philosophy today. 2.Logic, identity, deduction, induction, semiotics. 3.Cognition: theory of truth, issue of criticism, universal concepts. 4.Speculative philosophy: philosophy of mathematical natural history, philosophy of nature, metaphysics. 5.Metaphysics: concept and differentiation, stages of abstraction, knowability of first causes, critique, being in general. 6.General metaphysics - ontology: beings and their structure, act - potency, essence - existence, substance - accident, transcendental concepts, categories, causality. 7.Special metaphysics: its components, cosmology, theodicea. 8.Philosophical anthropology: man and world, substance of man, his self-realization and development. 9.Philosophical theology: science and God, philosophy of religion, present atheism. 10.Practical philosophy: concept and differentiation, good as the meaning of human life, beauty, axiological objectivism and subjectivism, value criterions. 11.Philosophy of art, morality (ethics). 12.Philosophy of law 13.natural law and philosophy 14.Philosophy of politics 15.Concise history of philosophy 16.Present debates and approaches to environment from the philosophical point of view. 17.Position of sustainable development, pertaining discussion, philosophical origins of the concept of health and environment as a cultural pattern.
