Course content
1.Basic terms in streams changes, legislation, rivers maintainance 2. Characterization of rivers, mainly streams. Natural, technical and artificial river. Water atributes connected with river. 3. Technical arrangements of streams. Design, water management of channels and nearby parts. 4. Restoration of streams. Aims of restoration measurements. Ways of solution, influence to outflow, renaturation in river. 5. Small water reservoires. Water management function, types of reservoires and water usage. Parts of reservoires, water management and constructions, function of reservoires. 6. Restoration of small water reservoires. Effect of restoration to extremal hydrological situations in catchment (floods, droughts). Landscape importance of reservoires. 7.Migration possibilities in rivers. Fish pass. Function. Water management parameters. 8. Vegetation measurements with river's restoration. Importance of bank vegetation. 9. River's restoration in intravilan. Parameters, possible variants. 10. Terrain work before rivers arrangements in basin. Ways of regulation of hydrological balance in basin, in soil. Surface outflow regulation in erosion controll measurements. 11. Wet soils amelioration. Water constructions variants. Restoration of drainage.
