1. Introduction, recapitulation of acquired experience. 2. Assignment of a framework semester topic. 3.-4. Detailed acquaintance with the operation of a graphic workshop for printing from above and a bookbinding workshop. Principles of printing from above. 5.-7. Presentation of various author's book formats. Bookbinding and bookbinding, letter-making - introduction to traditional crafts. Artistic bookbinding. 8.-11. Participation in the running of workshops, realization of prints from above and the project of the author's book - object. 12.-13. Evaluation of the semester assignment and prints made during the semester, author's books.

The course for students of the Graphic Design specialization follows on from the compulsory profile course Graphic Techniques and develops sensitivity and skill in working with materials, while deepening the knowledge and skills associated with the traditional and experimental form of graphics. It acquaints practically and theoretically with the means of expression of basic and advanced graphic techniques. It emphasizes craftsmanship and stimuli leading to new experimental outputs. It acquaints students in detail with the functioning of specialized graphic workshops, involves them in their operation and leads to the ability to manage and lead a similar type of workplace in the future. It acquaints students in detail with the principles of individual printing machines and other instrumentation as well as the overall technical / technological background.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study. |
