Course content
1. Concurrence of copyright protection and protection under specific legislation: trademarks, industrial designs. 2. Authorial activities as business: Self-employment, entrepreneurship, authorial creation vs. trade. 3. Authorial activities as business: registration obligations of the self-employed. 4. Authorial activities as business: invoicing, tax document. 5. Authorized expertise: expert opinion, expert advice. 6. Assigning a seminar paper: expert advice in the field of art and design. 7. Legal restrictions on freedom of expression: limited freedom of artistic creation. 8. Law and media: media law, media content regulation. 9. Ethical and moral aspects of artistic creation: collision of law and moral. 10. Guided discussion: completed seminar papers as reflection of students' own authorial creation. 11. Summary: The most important copyright aspects of the students' practical work.

Learning outcomes
The course will familiarize students with copyright basics, especially with respect to students? practical needs, not only as independent authors, but also as potential authors or educators in visual arts. The course aims to provide students with sufficient knowledge about copyright aspects of artistic production, with a special regard to copyrighted works of art.
- students will be familiarized with legal aspects of artistic creation in media - students will be able to conduct artistic creation as self-employed - students will acquire knowledge of legal restrictions on freedom of expression in artistic creation - students will be able to reflect ethical and moral aspects of artistic creation - students will complete an expert opinion related to the issue of interest
