Learning outcomes
The course is designed as an optional course for students majoring in Graphic Design. The aim of the course is to acquaint students (focused on typographic creation) with the authors of theoretical texts, essays and ideas, essential for the context of historical and contemporary development of the field of typography. The course presents typography through active work with text in the form of research and editorial work. The semester output of the course is a brief collection / workbook / collection of research / thematically focused reader. Students thus become active editorial and graphic authors of the semester output. The content of the semester plan is 5 theoretically oriented lecture blocks - presentations and comments on selected published texts of personalities of the typographic scene and 4 discussion blocks related to the above topics, based on on searches and editorial work with text.
