Disciplinary technologies V / Technology, polygraphy and print production I The course is intended for students specializing in Graphic Design. It focuses on technological aspects of production processes of the studied focus. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic materials, production processes and technologies used mainly in print production and the printing industry, both in theory and in practice. Part of the course is an explanation of professional terminology and acquaintance with the principles of individual technologies. It combines lectures, practical demonstrations, exercises and workshops, which complement excursions to operations where the output of graphic designers takes place and production. In addition to basic, commonly used technologies, it acquaints students with current trends in production processes. The course prepares students for practice, teaches them to integrate technological aspects into the process from design, preparation of documents, through communication with suppliers to production processes. This facilitates the implementation of outputs and prepares students for the transition to practice. The course includes theoretical lectures, presentations by external experts and guests, excursions to production facilities and field work.
