The course Disciplinary Software I - VI is intended for students of KDE and KUU to master work with software in 3D and 2D. Students will gain the knowledge they need not only to study at university, but also for their future career. Therefore, the course is designed to meet the requirements of studio teaching with regard to requirements for the students' professional life. The aim of the courses is to acquire and master the skills necessary to control selected programs, and knowledge of the possibilities of applying data from computer modeling in practice. The course Disciplinary software I - VI is divided into six semesters, and within them, it subsequently focuses on work with 2D software and 3D software, where programme of the individual courses is put in a mutual context. The course Disciplinary software I focuses on practicing 2D software. It is not primary for KDE and KUU students; however, it is necessary for visual presentation (posters, leaflets, portfolio, etc.). During the course, students will get acquainted with the basic matters of 2D software, and its primary division into vector and bitmap graphics. Lessons are designed as practical exercises, in which students learn to control individual programs (e.g., Adobe or Affinity). Students will get acquainted with the tools available in each program, as well as with the formats the outputs are stored in.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
