Learning outcomes
|
In our studio, design and art are communicating vessels and this balance of disciplines results in education based on a broad range of semester outputs and short-term assignments. Students meet real projects, find out what their discipline needs and learn to communicate and present their solutions accordingly. The standard of studio teaching is the development of classical art techniques and digital design. For us, designer is a universal and contemporary creator who can feel the shape, proportion, composition, and understands the task he or she can solve. Graduates of our studio are humble persons able to adapt to the needs of their employers or to courageously enter the art market and not only in the field of glass. Our studio offers the best background and experience for studying glass in its forms of a product, artefact or installation.
The student is able to respond to current impulses of the contemporary visual art scene. Thanks to the theoretical subjects taught at FAD, the student understands current tendencies, can identify with them, and derive their own artistic programme from them. The student is able to verbally articulate it, defend it before the teachers, and interpret it in their own way. They are ready to seek for their own solutions on a long-term basis and document their ideas in sketches, models, or computer programs, to deal with various artistic means and media, and to cooperate with the other studios.
