Course content

Educational subjects: 1. The specifics of physical education for pre-school and younger school-age children. Contraindications. 2. Building a preschool exercise unit. Exercise unit management policies. 3. Basic motoring - non-electric, locomotive activities. 4. Basic motor skills - handling activities. 5. Specification of the guidance section of the training unit. Exercise stack. 6. Strengthening and support training. 7. Rotary and rebound training. 8. Balanced training. The use of balancing equipment. 9. Utilisation of equipment for development of general movement preparation (ball, swing, overballs, poles). 10. Utilization of equipment for development of general motion preparation (rugs, plates, balls, hoops, non-traditional equipment). 11. Utilisation of tools for developing general mobility training (ladders, benches, Swedish box, trampoline). 12. Utilisation of tools for development of general movement preparation (tools for children's gymnastics - wedge, reflecting surfaces, children's Swedish box, pulleys). 13. Other kinds of tools (children's bars, swing training, rings, trapeze).

The aim of the course is to educate students about the physical education of children of pre-school and younger school age. The content of the tutorial is to familiarise yourself with the principles of working with children of given age groups. The specifics of physical education of children, construction of exercise units and contraindications are discussed. Through practical exercises, students are introduced to a reservoir of exercises suitable for children of pre-school and younger school age that can be used in pre-sports training.
The student is able to apply the exercises from the pre-sports training in the youngest children's exercise units.

The student will demonstrate his or her knowledge in a seminar work consisting of the preparation of exercise units for a given age group. Active participation in the seminar is a prerequisite.
