Course content
Teaching is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the history of American football, its development and the situation in the world and in our country. The focus of the theoretical part of the course is focused on the very rules of American football, presentation and description of the principles of the game and specifying the game activities of players. The practically oriented part of the course is focused on mastering the contactless variant of American football - flag football. The aim is to understand the basic rules of the game and its mastery at a level sufficient for application in the conditions of regular school teaching and for the case of leisure activities. Teaching content by blocks: 1. Basics of rules and game principles of the game, basic game skills, ball manipulation, throwing and passing. 2. Basic combinations, related game skills, game. 3. Decision-making and organization of the game, play, increasing the competencies of players. Teaching methods: practical exercises, consultations, analysis of video documentation, presentation of selected skills, decision-making in the game, organizing activities. The study is divided into blocks. Self-study is intended for mastering the rules. Their mastery is discussed in blocks in a condensed form in blocks 2 and 3. In the practice-oriented workshops, knowledge, skills and experience developed by the requirements of the subject are cultivated. Method of control and teaching: Self-study is managed by the teacher, he is also consulted on any problems and preparation for the active involvement of the student in organizing tournaments or sports competitions. The basis is knowledge of the rules available at the addresses of the relevant sports associations, see recommended literature (or associations that are not listed), basic required literature, including support http://pf.ujep.cz/~blaha/vphsopuv.htm and especially the study support listed at the address: https://moodle.pf.ujep.cz/, feedback takes place by checking the knowledge during consultations, through case studies or seminar papers according to the set requirements for the student (see Other requirements for the student), which are consulted via e-mail (Ladislav.Blaha@ujep.cz) and after their completion in direct contact evaluated. Learning outcomes
The practically oriented part of the course is focused on mastering the contactless variant of American football - flag football. The aim is to understand the basic rules of the game and its mastery at a level sufficient for application in the conditions of regular school teaching and for the case of leisure activities.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills: The student is after completing the course - able to organize the operation in the completed game, - can decide matches at the level of recreational physical education or even competition, - is able to define key points for improving gaming skills in selected games and explain the reasons for possible interventions in the cultivation of gaming skills, - can prepare, lead exercise units with the content of the game, - can use transfer from other movement games, - variably applies the operation of games with regard to the level of game skills of participants, spatial and material conditions. - Orients in the basic terminology of the game, - can define the prerequisites for successful operation of the game. - Can use the acquired competencies for further possible expansion of knowledge and skills in the field. - Can specify the basic skill limits of participants, determine the necessary spatial and material conditions for the operation of the game. - Has an overview of the institutional security of American football - Can describe the possibilities of influencing participants through the operation of the game in terms of the development of motor skills, socialization of individuals, etc. - Can demonstrate selected gaming skills. - Can decide a simple form of match. - Controls the signaling of referees and can explain the rules.

Completed courses at the level of "Great Movement Games" and "Theory and Organization of Sports Games"

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in teaching, demonstrating knowledge of the basic rules of the game of American football. Demonstration of knowledge of the rules of the game of flag football, management of the teaching unit and organization of the tournament in simplified conditions. Attendance at lessons 80%.
