Course content
The subject, which focuses on the collection and evaluation of data in the field of virtual reality and the measurement of muscle activation using electromyography (EMG) in a selected sports sector, offers students a comprehensive view of the interdisciplinary use of modern technologies in sports science. The aim is to provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of how virtual reality (VR) and EMG technologies can be used to analyze and improve athletes' performance, improve training methods and prevent injuries. Within the subject, students will learn about the following key areas: 1. **Basics of Virtual Reality**: Students will gain an overview of the history, current trends and future potential of virtual reality in the context of sports science. They will investigate different types of VR systems, from immersive headsets to advanced interactive 3D environments, and their application possibilities in sports training. 2. **Principles of Electromyography (EMG)**: The course will provide a detailed introduction to EMG as a method for measuring and analyzing the electrical activity of muscles. Students will learn how EMG signals reflect muscle activity and how they can be used to assess movement performance and technique. 3. **Data collection and analysis**: A significant part of the course will be devoted to practical data collection using VR and EMG devices. Students will learn how to properly deploy EMG sensors, perform measurements in a VR environment, and collect relevant data for their research. 4. **Statistical analyzes and interpretation of data**: Students will become familiar with the methods of statistical analysis that will enable effective evaluation of collected data. They will learn how to use statistical software to analyze muscle activity and performance in a virtual environment and how to interpret the results in a sports science context. 5. **Grant funding and IGA projects**: One of the key objectives of the course is also to prepare students to obtain grants to finance their research. They will be introduced to the grant application process, evaluation criteria and financing options within the internal grant agencies (IGA) at the Faculty of Education of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University (UJEP). This course offers students a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge practical research, develop their analytical skills and prepare for a career in sports science, rehabilitation or technology development for sport and health.

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on knowledge of research work in kinanthropology. Make students familiar with possibilities of research project construction, application of empirical and theoretical research methods, selection of research group, hypothesis formulation and critical evaluation. Application of the research methods to minor researches or participation on bigger research. Skills at data record, interpratation of results and conclusion formulation. Work with databases and other sources. The subject is a basis for the bachelor thesis. The aim of the course is to master a logical, scientific solution to a problem in the field of kinanthropology. Students will get acquainted with the ethics of research, the norm and customs of the formal arrangement of a scientific report and can also gain knowledge from working with professional sources.
Acqusition of logic, scientific problem-solving in kinanthropology is the main objective. Students will be familiar with research ethics, norm and customs of formal layout of the report.
