Course content
Theoretical seminars: 1 - 2. Characteristic, aim of Athletics. Divission of Athletics and athletics disciplins. Safety factors during teaching. 3 - 4. Technique and biomechanics of Stance phase and Swing phase of running, crouch start. Technique and biomechanics of relay run, relay handover. 5 - 6. Technique and biomechanics of ball shot, javelin throw, techniques and biomechanics of long jump. 7 - 8. Written test from all above mentioned athletics discipline and their techniques and biomechanics. Practical lessons 9 - 10. Methodical training of Swing phase of running, Special running exercises, Special jumping exercises. 11 - 12. Methodical training of Stance phase of running, scratches. 13 - 14. Methodical training of relay handover. 15 - 16. Practical credits. 17 - 18. Development of selected motor abilities, games and competitions. 19 - 20. Development of motor abilities, methodical training of long jump (stride, hitch-kick, hang technique). 21 - 22. Methodical training of long jump. 23 - 24. Methodical training of ball shot and grenade shot. 25 - 26. Methodical training of javelin throw. Practical credits. 27 -28. Practical credits.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to master the techniques and methodology of training of selected athletic disciplines including introductory and imitation excercises. It is necessary to demonstrate the technical level and performance. As part of the study-unit is preparation and practical leadership of lessons of athletic warm-up excercises, compensasion included. In the theoretical part, students learn the basics of technique, biomechanics included into athletic events and their rules.
After passing this subject the student: - is able to perform right technique of selected athletic disciplines, - has theoretical knowledge about technigue and biomechanics, - knows the right proceeding for practising selected athletic skills, - can organize and lead athletic warm up, - can use basic athletic terminology, - can assess the technique correctly and can measure the achievement according to athletic rules, - can demonstrate the basic achievements in selected disciplines.

80% participation during lessons. Achievement: 100 m, long jump, ball throw, 12min run. Technique: Special running exercises, Special jumping exercises, long jump (stride, hitch-kick, hang technique), low start, ball throw - javelin throw, relay handover from the bottom. Preparation and leading the athletic warming-up. Written preparation of general warming-up. Written test from techniques of all practised disciplin.
