Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to introduce students to the fundamentals of management as critical managerial activities and to equip students with knowledge of the general theory of management. The study-unit defines specifics of a management, introduces its theoretical models, principles, activities - their phases and forms and places them into context. It extends professional competencies and provides the opportunity for confrontation of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. It creates conditions for the perception of a value management process for determining causal and teleological context of awareness of symptoms and their impact management and familiar with selected techniques to cope with sutiations that can be retrieved on the part of the managing entity and as a managed object.
Student understands management terminology and can use it in specific context. Student knows about different kinds of management acitivities (e.g. in planning, decision making, organizing, motivation, controlling, communicating etc.) and can distinguish important coherency and is ready to analyse situation which can appear in leadin process. Student is also able to apply gained knowledge in practise and to react on different situations. Student knows how to plan, how to make decision, to motivate, to communicate and to evaluate.
Prerequisites
Secondary knowledge in social science, basic presentation skills.
