Course content
1. Musical motion background (to express by motion the rhythm, counting strokes). Demonstration of selected videorecordings of different motion compositions, students´division to working groups. 2. Music motion backgrounds (to express by motion the timing, dynamic, rhythm, form). The selection of the motion composition´s theme and music. 3. Practise of body positions and motions of different body parts in accordance of the right posture and the right technique of gymnastic motions. Basic principles how to create motion composition. Motion improvisation on different kinds of musical accompaniement. 4. Jumps, turn-overs, balancing exercises. Basic principles how to create motion motives students´ individual creative work. 5. Basic techniques of exercising with the jump-rope and hoop during working with music. Basic principles how to create motion compositions students´ individual creative work. 6. The basics of the technique of selected dance steps. Rehearsal of movement composition. 7.- 8. Czech folk dances and their methodical practice. Country dances and their methodical training. 9. Social dances (standard and Latin American). Types of holding and basic technique of selected dances. 10 - 13. Selected modern dance styles (street, hip hop, shuffle, show, disco, tap, etc.). 14. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to understand the laws of harmony of movement with music, to gain an overview of various forms of exercise with music in relation to age characteristics. The student will get to know the basics of exercise technique without equipment (stances, movements of different parts of the body in rhythm, jumps, turns, spins,...) and with equipment (jumping rope, hoop) in accordance with the aesthetic requirements for gymnastic movement and the development of students' rhythmic sense, further with the basic dance steps of Czech folk, country dances and other selected dance styles (e.g. disco, hip hop, social,...) including their training methodology.
Student is able to lead different kinds of exercises (without equipments or with equipments) with music accompaniement. The student is able to create motion motives individually; the student knows the basic dance steps of folk dances and knows selected components and figures of country dances. From the student´s own gained experience and skills he/she can choose components of gymnastic or dancing character for creation of the motion composition.

Active participation during lessons, preparation and leading the exercises with music according to given thematic issues, to be successful in creation of motion motives, to know basic aspects how to create gymnastics or dancing motion composition public performance. To prove basic dance steps of folk and country dances successful performation of selected dances.
