Course content
1. Introduction, content 2. Basic description of statistical features and their dependences and characteristics. 3. Use of Excel in statistics. 4. Program Statistica 5. Testing of hypotheses about the parameters of normal distribution of one or two random samples. 6. Some non-parametric tests, linear regression and correlation.

Learning outcomes
The objective is to make students familiar with basic knowledge and skills of statistical data processing with respect to the specifics of the research in physical education and its methodology.
Students are able to use the methods of information transfer from the sample to the basic population. Attention is paid to the description of statistical features and their dependences, characteristics, basic probability distribution, estimated parameters, testing of hypotheses about the parameters of normal distribution of one or two random samples, some non-parametric tests, linear regression and correlation.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of methodology and descriptive statistics.
