Course content
Topics: Health definition of health and illness, determinants of health, health promotion and prevention, health promotion in schools, project "Health Promoting School", Health 21 Health for all in 21st century. Lifestyle Diet, nutrients, poor nutrition, nutrition recommendations for Crech Republic, the principles of children's diet, eating disorders. Lifestyle physical activity, physical fitness, posture, hypokinesia as part of the lifestyle of current population, the importance f movement, the possibility of influencing chindren' s physical activity in the school environment. Smoking risks of smoking, when the habit arises, passive smoking, nicotine addiction and its cessation in prevention in relation to smoking. Alcohol types of alcoholic beverages, effects of alcohol, damage to health caused by alcohol, threat of children and youth in relation to alcohol, prevention and protection of children and young people from alcohol. Drugs terminology and classification of drugs, education of children and youth in drug prevention. Addictive behaviour gambling, addictive behaviour in relation to computer, media (TV, video), workoholism. Effect of alternative religious groups alternative religious groups and sects, cults characters, dangers and possible positive effects of alternative religious groups, prevention of sects. Bullying- psychosocial disorders, levels of bullying, personalities of aggressor and victim, detrimental effects of bullying, bullying prevention in elementary school. Adolescence and some of its health problems, risky sexual behaviour development of sexual behaviour, risky sexual behaviour in adolescence, sexual diseases. Effect of suitable lifestyle on appropriate lifestyle diseases including obesity solutions. Environment Environment and health, pollution of air, water, food and soil, sustainable development as a way of life. First aid implementation of CPR respiratory and circulatory system. Bandages basic function of bandages, selected bandages. First aid for unconscious casuality, bleeding casuality and shock. First aid fractures, dislocation and sprains, acute poisoning, acute conditions caused by physical causes. First aid for head injuries and chest injuries, abdominal injuries, spinal trauma and spinal chord trauma. First aid in case of serious traffic accidents and disasters, positioning and transfer, mass injury. Panel discussion to presented topics.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to prepare students for the basic theoretical issues, focusing on health education and the provision of first aid. In the lectures, students will be familiar with the topics: health issues, healthy lifestyle, the risks of smoking and alcohol consumption, drug and drug problems, bullying, the influence of a suitable lifestyle in the prevention of lifestyle diseases including obesity, environmental issues, and basic first aid, namely focused on resuscitation solutions of shock, basic bandaging techniques, providing first aid for injuries individual parts of the human body and the appropriate procedures in place serious accident / injury including for mass /.
By the end of the study unit student will be able understand properly issue of healthy lifestyle, will be aware of dangers of smoking, alcohol and drugs, will be able to describe and potentially sort out/indicate bullying, appropriate lifestyle in prevention of lifestyle diseases including obesity and understand environmental issues. Student should know the theoretical procedures required to implement basic first aid procedures that are specially focused on emergency resuscitation of shock solutions, providing bandaging techniques, implementing first aid for various injured part of the human body and carry out appropriate procedures must be sorted out in serous accident (including mass injuries).
