Course content
Topics: Lifestyle and role of physical activity in onthogenesis.Physical activity of Czech Republic inhabitants.Health benefits of physical activity. The influence of physical activity on involutional changes in the body. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases - atherosclerosis. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases hyperstension. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases sarcopenia. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases osteoarthritis. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases osteoporosis. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases functional changes of musculoskeletal system. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases disorders of the respiratory system. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases disorder of insulin resistance. Physical activity as prevention of lifestyle diseases onemocnění obesity. Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to acquaint students with physical activity, which is an important factor in health conditional quality of life for everyone. It is explained by the characteristics of appropriate long-term and regular physical activity, physical activity in terms of volume, structure, intensity and frequency of physical activity and in terms of accident prevention. Application of motion is specified in particular with regard to the diseases of civilization, when the emphasis on disorders of the circulatory system, musculoskeletal system and obesity. Students completing the course will acquire theoretical knowledge to enable it to properly apply physical activity as a preventive, but also partly therapeutic factor that can solve a number of lifestyle diseases.
By the end of this study-unit student will be able to explain the basic theoretical knowledge focused particularly on topics of: - Effect of movement in the child development - Effect of movement to involutional changes of organism. - Effect of movent in prevention and partly in solution of selected lifestyle diseases. - Indication of movement in prevention and treatment of obesity - Implementation of appropriate modes of motion
Prerequisites
The premise of this course are acquired general knowledge of basic subjects of biomedicine.
