Themes of the lectures: 1. Introduction to problems of environmental education, ecology and living environment 2. World strategy for protection of nature and environment 3. International seminar and federations for protection of living environments, organisation, contracts. 4. Global ecological problems pollution, greenhouse effect, disruption of safety coating of atmosphere 5. Global ecological problems water pollution, water resources 6. Global ecological problems natural resources, energy, transfer, rubbish 7. Global ecological problems - ecosystems and biodiversity protection, basics of landscape ecology 8. Condition of living environment and nature protection in the Czech Republic 9. Olympic games and living environment resolutions on world seminars, the attitude of International Olympic committee and Czech Olympic committee, aspects, philosophy 10. Connections ofsport and living environments 11. The effect of pollution and water environment on sport achievement 12. Water and sport, pollution and sport aspects, impacts, questions, trends 13. Life ecology in cities, trends, new technologies and their effect on living environment 14. Basic principal of protection of living environment in physical education and sport. Themes of the seminars: 1. Ecological education through the physical education and sport 2. Strategy of consistently maintainable development, the importance of consistently maintainable development for the future generation 3. Government agents and non-governmental organizations and their function in protection of living environment 4. Living environment, life styte, nutrition and health 5. Sport and protection of nature in the Czech Republic and abroad 6. Hiking, Tourism and protection of nature in the Czech Republic and abroad 7. Selected global ecological problems connected with physical education and sport 8. Protection of nature and country-side in the Czech Republic protected landscape area, national parks, national nature reserves and the rules of exercising in these areas. 9. Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to familiarize students with the protection of nature and the environment at local and global level and contribute to the understanding of the close links between physical activity and the environment in narrower and broader context. Another objective of the course is to acquaint students with the influence of environmental friendly handling of natural resources and their use of alternative in relation to physical education and sport. Seminars and self-preparation will focus on independent work of students who should obtain the necessary skills in the field. The main focus of the seminars is to analyze the critical points of individual self-training students. The aim of the course is also to introduce students to the basic literature on the issues of ecology and environmental education and its adequate analysis.
After passing this subject the student gains knowledge about basic terms in the range of ecology. The student gets to know the possibility of human influence on living environment while performing sport actions. The student gets to know with possibilities of using the degradated or devastated landscape for sports events. The student can define the possible negative effect of particular sports events on natural environment. The students can all gained knowledge used theoretically and also practically in future education process.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of curriculum according to Ecology for secondary schools. An overview of current trends in the field of ecology. Basic terminology.
