Themes of the lessons: 1. Historical links. Branch development. Informational sources to the problems of adventurous therapy. 2. Characteristic of Adventure Therapy from Outdoor Education 3. Adventure, hazards and high-risk behaviour. Problems of sensation seeking in connection with adventure therapy 4. Philosophical roots and first adventure programmes of therapy. 5. Adventure therapy as one of the form of kinesiotherapy 6. Foreign and Czech organizations working with adventure therapy. 7. Division of the branch, international community and communication platform, survey 8. Characteristic features of adventure therapy. 9. The summary of attitudes and researches in adventure therapy and summary of research methods which are used during the research of the programmes in adventure therapy. 10. The summary of psychological and physical disorders and handicaps appropriate for using the programmes of adventure therapy. 11. Suitability for usage of the programme components for concrete target groups. 12. Principles (psychological, social, pedagogical, fitness) during creation of adventures programmes for specific target groups (addicted, children´s population, law-brakers). 13. Practical creation of adventure programme for chosen target group with possible tuition of the teacher. 14. Assessment of created programmes, credits.

Learning outcomes
|
The study-unit deals with the problem of using the phenomenon of adventure in therapeutic practice under the new direction of physiotherapy. It reflects the latest trends and research in the field of Adventure and Outdoor Education in therapeutic practice. It discusses the concept and approach in developing adventure programs, which are used for example in the treatment and prevention of drug addiction in hyperactive and neurotic children, in the context of social rehabilitation of persons with various types of mental and physical handicaps, and prevention of adverse psychopathological phenomena.
