Course content
Themes of the lectures: 1. Situation of the handicapped people in social system and reflection of this situation in their sports activities. 2. Realization of sports acitivities of handicapped people in context with historical and social development; Sport for all Chart handicapped people. Actual legislation. Problems in schools, integration and special schools. 3. Types of handicaps. 4. Specification of the risk in consideration of the type of handicap, risk during motoric activities. 5. Institutional security of motoric activities connected with handicapped people. Czech Paralympic committee, Paralympic games, etc. 6. Handicapped people reliant on wheelchair, problems of handicap and possibilities for physical education and sport. Injuries and reason of handicap. Physical education and sport of wheelchair users. Possibilities and reasons for participating of wheelchair users on motoric activities. Problems of loading upper and lower limbs and trunk. Quality of life with handicap. 7. Amputation and its causes. Care about amputated end, problems of motion restrictions, locomotion of people with amputated lower limbs, downhill skiing of people with one-side amputated lower limb above knee, progressive muscular dystrophy, cleft spine. Terms explanation. Possibilities of doing motoric activitis. 8. Handicap of deaf people. 9. Cerebral palsy- cerebral parese - spasticity. 10. Visual handicap, illness and damage, causes of handicap. 11. Mental handicap. 12. Sport and motoric activities of mental handicapped people. 13. Problems of integrated physical education. Seminars and practical lessons: 1. Cerebral palsy cerebral parese spasticity practical presentation facilities operation, testing, selected sport disciplines, boccii presentation. Rules of boccii and testing. Issue of assistants. 2. Wheelchair bounds practical presentation basics of basketball, floorball and other games. Aplication of wheelchair in different conditions. Using wheelchair during outdoor activities, application of ropes, bases. Application of bets and racquet games. Games adaptation for people on the wheelchair tchoukball, brennball etc. 3. Wheelchair bounds realization of selected motor acitivities in winter conditions, monoski and its usage (try-out according to the conditions). Skiing on monoski, getting on, using a ski tow, getting of, skiing with the help of the assistant. Trying to ski on monoski according to the conditions. 4. Sitting volleyball, curling etc. Sledgehockey. Handbike presentation with biker, riding a handbike, categories, construction of handbike, handbikes in CR. 5. Sport and motor activities of deaf people. 6. Sport for older people. 7. Communication, leading and organization of competition of handicapped people. 8. Selected motor games for visually handicapped. 9. Navigation of visually handicapped people. 10. Motor activities of visually handicapped people goal games goalball, torball, rolling. 11. Kreistorball and its possibilities in integrated physical education. . 12. Motor activities for mentally handcipped people. Possibilities of joining the exercise with creative activities. Motor games and motor tasks. 13. Discussiona about problem and seminar papers. 14. Discussion about problems and seminar papers. Assessment of teaching.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to provide students with knowledge and skills in the pursuit of physical activity participants, especially younger ages with different types of disability. The focus of attention is moving through the specification of disability and the potential use of physical activity as a mean of socialization and resocialization. It is based on anemically and physiologically oriented description and characteristics of disability in relation to the possibilities of movement. It is expected to acquire basic skills in a communication with people and their organization within the operation of selected activities. Students should also obtain knowledge of the legislative and institutional support activities in selected activities, then the idea of their sport form, acquiring skills and potential hazards associated with their improper application. Practical excercises will also affect the interpretation and application of rules, methods, organization of competitions. Selected activities are practice on excercises. Considerable attention is paid to notice the key points of applied physical activities, the issue of physical education, safety during educational process and recreational pursuit. The focus is on leisureor recreational pursuit of physical activities of persons with disabilities in order to realize the importance of the application of physical activities to cultiate a healthy lifestyle and improve the overall quality of life.
After passing this subject the student: - knows the possibilities of sport activities for all types of handicapped people, - is able to organize the activities, - can referee a match in specific games, - can lead the basic training lessons of handicapped poople. - can use and transfer the knowledge from other activities, - can use the basic terminology, and understands abilities and needs of handicapped people, - can use the gained competences for other knowledge and skills extension, - can specify the basic skills limit of handicapped people, and can set down the needed spatial and material conditions for the sport activities of handicapped people, - knows about institutional security of sport activities of handicapped people, - can describe the basic risks for handicapped person while doing inappropriate motoric ativities.

Assessment methods and criteria

Attendance during lessons 80%, to do seminar paper or to realize a task under the terms of research according to submitted theme, participation in decision making and organization of the lessons, exam from below described issues (especially specification of disablement, rules, technique, tactics and methodology of taught activities, institutional frame of activities connected with handicapped people, organization of competitions, medical restrictions). Studium je rozděleno do bloků. V rámci společných konzultací se těžiště zprostředkovávaných znalostí pohybuje v oblasti vysvětlení příčin postižení, jeho specifikace a důsledku postižení pro účast na pohybových aktivitách. V rámci prakticky orientovaných pracovních seminářů jsou osvojovány především pohybové dovednosti (goalball, kreistorball, pohybové aktivity na vozíku, handbike, tandem, navigace osob se zrakovým postižením) a osvojovány poznatky z jejich provozování. Individuálním samostudiem si studenti osvojují část obsahové náplně předmětu, která je uvedena ve studijním plánu v sylabech. Způsob kontroly a výuky: Samostudium je řízeno vyučujícím, základem je doporučená literatura a zejména pak studijní opory uvedené na adrese: https://moodle.pf.ujep.cz/, vybraná témata uveřejněné Centrem APA (zvláště pak e-learningové texty): http://www.apa.upol.cz/web/. Zpětná vazba probíhá kontrolou znalostí během konzultací, prostřednictvím vypracovaných případových studií nebo seminárních prací, které jsou konzultovány prostřednictvím elektronické pošty (Ladislav.Blaha@ujep.cz) a po jejich dokončení v přímém kontaktu hodnoceny.
