Course content
Principles of good nutrition in sport before and during exercise. Basis of an appropriate fluid intake before and during exercise. Principles of good nutrition in the recovery phase. Basis of an appropriate fluid intake in the recovery phase. Nutrition and health of athletes. The effect of supplementation on exercise performance and recovery of athletes. Effect of adaptogens on sports performance and recovery of athletes. Social aspects of doping. Preventive care practices for WADA Anti-Doping realized. Doping control. The rights and obligations of the athletes. Possibilities of knowledge on injury doping in the anti-doping education. Preventive programs in education for anti-doping. Panel discussion, consultation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to introduce students to the basics of nutrition in sport and the possibilities of preventive activity of anti-doping education. The content of the study-unit is focused on food and drinks at the stages before and during athletic performance, but also in the recovery phase, with emphasis on the possibility of appropriate supplementation. Students will also learn about teaching with various procedures and possible examples of anti-doping education as the best means of addressing this issue
Student completing the course will able to explain the basic theoretical knowledge about sports nutrition, doping and anti-doping education principles.
Prerequisites
The premise of this course are acquired general knowledge of the physical physiology and sport.
