Course content
Themes: 1. Historical development of sport management, aims and Physical education support in the Czech Republic. 2. Organizational structures in sport. The role of Czech sports union (ČSTV), Ministry of education, youth and sports (MŠMT). 3. Control structures used in management of Sport Federation and Association. 4. Position of TJ. State and local government support of sport and motor acitivites. 5. Olympic movement and commercialism of sport. International sports organizations. Czech Olympic Committee. 6. Sports organization as allowance organization. Legal forms of sports clubs and organizations. 7. Financial sources of sport and physical education. Multiple financial sources of sport. 8. Fundraising, sponzoring a grants possibilities in sport. Fiscal and accounting aspects. 9. Investments in sport - possibilities of investments financing, sources and acces to the sources. Renting of sports grounds. 10. Organization and planning in sport and physical education. 11. Personal politics of sports federations and associations. Personal club management. Position of top members, trainers and referees. 12. Management of sports club, marketing, financing, accounting. 13. Management of sports events - competitions, matches, tournaments. Marketing, management and financing. 14. Trends development in the world, raising number of sports branches, commercialism of sport - focused on development in Europe and the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
Students will gain basic information about the current management of sport. They become familiar with the basic source of current sport funding and development of PE in the Czech Republic. They will have an overview of the financing of sport in terms of investment and operation - both in terms of contributions and subsidies from the perspective of the private sector (an investor, sponsorship, advertising, loans and additional resources, etc.). They become familiar with the basic structures, activities and approaches in the field of sports, with their development and new trends. They will gain basic knowledge of the establishment, organization and legal forms of sports opportunities and support for PE.
Students will be familiar with the basics of marketing and management of a sports club and they will be able to apply their knowledge to club management or fitcenter. They will be able to carry out a grant project for support of club activities.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of sport and P.E. and system of sport and recreation in the Czech republic.Basic computer skills.Interest in marketing and management of sports club and fitcenter.

Credit requirements: active participation during seminars - importance 30 %, seminar paper - importance 70%. Exam requirements: Written test and oral exam - importance 100 %.
