Lectures: 1. Skiing technology eqipment, skies waxing. 2. Safety during skiing training, White code. 3. Technique and methodics of basic skiing cross-country skiing by classical and skating technique. 4. Technique and methodics of basic downhill skiing 5. History of skiing, disciplines, organization of competitions. 6. Czech school of skiing system of complex skiing concept and other skiing schools. Seminars: 1. Skiing technology customization of downhill and cross-coutnry skies. 2. Preparation and organization of a tripPříprava a organizace výletu. 3. Preparation of competition in cross-skiing and downhill, with regard to snow conditions. 4. Video analyses. Practical exercises: 1. General skiing training. 2. Specialized skiing training. 3. Technique and methodics of a phase in basic skiing cross-country skiing, classic and skating technique. 4. Technique and methodics of a phase in basic skiing downhill, carving turnes.

Learning outcomes
|
The study-unit is focused on general and specialized ski grounding, technique of the various methods of cross-country skiing and individual arcs while descending and turning on skiis in the stage of basic skiing. Teaching takes the form of lectures, seminars and practical exercises. Student will learn basic ski technology, lubrication of ski and technology of downhill and cross-country skiing. They will be able to describe the main errors recorded on video. They will also be able to prepare and conduct route for cross-country ski and will be abke to hold a race of cross-country skiing or downhill skiing.
Students can: - Demonstrate basic cross country skiing and downhill skiing. - Prepare the skis to ride and be able to apply waxes according to aspects of ski waxing - Describe and explain the principle of descending and cornering jumping and cross country skiing. - Describe the basic historical fact associated with the development of skiing, ski terminology
