Practice (35 hours): Cross country: classic and skate technique Riding down and turning: kročná and step-parallel technique Methodological issue which will be specified Lecture (5 hours): Ski sport and history, ski centers Czech Ski School-system of complex teaching, other ski school Cross country skiing-technique and training of specific ski skills Riding down and turning-Czech Ski School, improve ski skills Ski technology, equipment, preparation of skis Seminars (6 hours): Preparation of skis, control of the equipment Analysis of videorecording Analysis of the methodological performance from the training and development of the skills

Aim of the subject:The goal of the course is to prepare instructors who are able to teach well and safe the alpine skiing and cross country skiing as well. Training is done according to methodology of SLCR and FTVS UK/ Czech Ski School/ Training is further intent on acquisition of specific skills which led students to manage the technique of step-parallel a krocna, riding down and turning in those techniques and to manage diagonal striding technique and skate technique in cross country skiing in their basic forms, including necessary theory-history, technique, methodology, technology and more.
Acquired skills: Student after course is able do ski instructor on his own. He is also able to theoretically describe and show the turnings in the techniques mentioned above and both styles of cross country skiing. Student knows the process of training and developing the ski skills and knows how to apply them practically in leading collective. He is also supposed to recognize basic mistakes and absence of technique in alpine skiing and cross country and knows exercises to correct them.
