Course content
The course deals with the possibilities of using winter nature for the concept of a winter training course for a given target group. The focus will be not only on the basics of downhill and cross-country skiing, but also on the use of games and exercises in winter nature and non-traditional activities (snowshoeing, sledding, orienteering activities in winter nature, telemar skiing, snowboarding, etc.). An integral part of the course will be acquaintance with current trends in material and technological equipment, with safety rules of stay and movement in the mountains and with basic didactic and methodological aspects that are specific to the winter environment.

Learning outcomes
The content of the course is to teach specific skills and knowledge in field of skiing, which is dedicated to the children on the first grade of basic school. In theoretical part the history of skiing, techniques, methodology, didactics, equipment and technology is taught. In practical part the students will get to know the basic teaching of specific skills for the children on the first grade of basic school, and the aplication of basic methodology and didactics downhill and cross-country skiing. The emphasis is put on safety factors, on managing the basic technique of turnings and basic technique of cross-country skiing, on methodology and didactics of downhill skiing dedicated to basic schools, on games in snow and winter nature. Teaching is according to methodology of SLČR and Faculty of Physical Education UK(the Czech school of skiing). Part of the programme are also basic ecological aspects connected with right human behavior in the nature.
After completing the course the student / she know how to choose and plan a hiking trail suitable for children at primary school in a winter environment. It will also be able / to the self-management group and management games in the winter nature, which are suitable for children of the first degree. Students will be able to safely stop and perform basic types of arches in downhill skiing and will be able to move safely in winter environment for cross country skiing during alternating two stroke.
