Personnel management - career planning, legislative requirements for staffing health services, requirements of health insurance companies for staffing health services, administration of Appendix 2. 2. Tools of objective managerial decision-making, decision-making techniques, decision-making process, techniques applicable in management. 3. Multi-source financing of health services, subsidy procedure. 4. Time management, delegation, leading meetings, presentations in the managers' work. Self-study: 5. Fundamentals of management, basic managerial roles and processes. 6. Quality management of health services, risk management in the provision of health care, safety of health services. 7. Marketing of health services. 8. Basic aspects of health policy 9. Ethics in the work of a manager, ethics in the provision of health services (systemic approach).

The aim of the subject is to familiarize students with specific areas of management that are applied in the field of provision of health services. Thematically, the study builds on the foundations of management and economics, which were the content of the corresponding subjects on the bachelors' degree, and expands them. The subjects of the teaching are mainly the following topics: regulatory mechanisms in the field of nursing, marketing of health services, quality management, creation of standards, preparation of an audited investigation, management of risks and extraordinary events, the main area of social medicine and health policy, managerial ethics, the decision-making process in the work of a manager, tools of objective managerial decision-making, the problem of organization of working time, teamwork, legal issues of the provision of health services (especially standards related to health management).
Expertise: Students will know basic techniques of objective managerial decision-making, as well as mathematical tools used for effective planning of health services and resource allocation. They will know the legal system of the Czech Republic, they will be able to look up legal norms that relate to the provision of health services and they will be able to orient themselves in them. After completing the course, they will know marketing techniques that can be used in the healthcare sector. Professional skills: Students will be prepared for the fulfillment of current tasks that they will encounter in the organization in the field of nursing services. Students will be able to work together to create nursing standards; be able to evaluate quality in nursing - be able to prepare an audit on a given topic; understand the techniques of evaluating the quality of nursing care; understand the link of quality on the management of risks and extraordinary events in nursing. They will master the basic techniques in analyzing the provided health services, evaluating their effectiveness and choosing the appropriate management technique in relation to the desired result. In the field of personnel management, they will be able to plan the career of non-medical health workers in accordance with the legislative requirements for personnel qualifications and personnel equipment of individual workplaces. General qualifications: Students will be able to work at the middle management level in healthcare institutions and use tools based on scientific methods and proven procedures in their work.
