Signs of role - functional specifics, emotional neutrality, universalism, collective orientation; role of PA according to WHO. 5. The subject is both theoretical - practical. It includes the theory of the field, history and development with a focus on midwifery and its important personalities, the methodology of the nursing process, the needs of a man with a orientation on women and children, nursing procedures and multiculturism. It solves the problem of defining the basic concepts of the theory of the field, as well as the problems of the origin, development and characteristics of the field as a modern scientific discipline.
Expertise: Students can: - Name metaparadigma and describe the relationship between health - disease - midwifery and environment - Define nursing care about people from the perspective of holistic philosophy - To name the circumstances of the origin and history of the nursing process, - To define the concept of modern acceptance of midwifery in the Czech Republic, - Explain the role of Midwife, the regulatory system of the profession and the registration of Midwife, - Describe the specifics of midwifery research. Professional skills: Students can: -Find information and resources on the activities of international and national professional organizations and use them to broaden the theoretical knowledge of the field, trace the WHO European Strategy for Midwifery Education and use it to shape knowledge about the modern concept of obstetric care in the Czech Republic and Europe, based on legislative knowledge seek information on the application of the midwifery profession in the European region
