Course content
Lecture Topics: 1. Strategic management in health care, organizational culture and strategic management. 2. Environment and specifics of health care management, corporate governance of health care facilities. 3. Support strategic thinking, vision and concept in strategic management. 4. Management methods of management of medical facilities. 5. Creating strategic alternatives, evaluating alternatives and making strategic choices. 6. Implementation of strategic decisions, strategic decision making, information systems in strategic decision making. 7. Examples of strategic management of Czech health care, examples of strategic health care management abroad. 8. Future challenges of strategic management. Seminar topics: They correspond to the topics of the lectures at the skill and experience level, and strengthen the application proficiency in specific cases.

Learning outcomes
Strategic management is currently a common and widely used management tool in healthcare. Corporate governance approaches, ie a comprehensive approach to the management and management of healthcare facilities, are also currently being promoted. The aim of the course is to introduce and apply basic approaches to strategic management and strategic thinking in health care. Attention will be paid to the cyclical model of strategic decision making, but also to the analysis of implemented strategic decisions within the framework of Czech healthcare and international comparison.
Seminar Topics: They correspond to the topics of lectures in the skill and experience level, they strengthen the application efficiency in specific cases. Expertise: In the course, students will acquire knowledge of strategic management in health care in all its scope, with an emphasis on strategic thinking. Professional skills: The student will be able to hold positions in the middle and large medical facilities associated with the further development of the organization.
