Learning outcomes
|
The subject is a core discipline and it is a part of a group of subjects from the midwifery. The significant part of the subject is focused on a primary care, its organization in our health care system and the position of a midwide in an ambulatory care. Considering community care the focus is put on the individual work in a community and cooperation with a woman and her family. The focus is also put on the education in the areas of a planned parenthood, prevention of transmittable diseases, medical education and other programmes, which are important for the health of the whole community. In the area of community care the students will work with other subjects aiming at adapting specialized care based on the needs of the members of the community, in particular, a woman and her family.
Subject Knowledge: Student has the knowledge of a primary care after a woman, he can explain the position of a midwife in a primary care. Student knows the terms screening, dispensarization, prevention. Student is able to assess potential risk factors in a community environment of a woman and her family. Professional Skills: Student evaluates natural environment of a woman, her family and the whole community. He identifies possible risk factors in a life of a woman and her family. Student reacts to the needs of pregnant women, women giving the birth and women in six - week period, when it is necessary he suggests and support appropriate changes of a woman's regime.
