Lecture topics: 1st week: Vulva, vagina, cervix, uterus, ovary, ovaries, breast Week 2: Women's life, development of female sexual organs and disorders 3rd week: Menstrual and ovulation cycle, neurohumoral regulation of menstrual and ovulation cycle Week 4: Menstrual cycle disorders Week 5: Climate, Contraception, Planned Parenthood 6th week: Examination methods in gynecology Week 7: Pelvic floor, irregular gynecological organs position, Urogynecology, Week 8: Bloody tumors of the female genitals Week 9: Malignant tumors of female genital organs (cervix, uterus, fallopian tube) 10th week: Malignant tumors of the female genitals (vulva, vagina, ovary, breast) 11th week: Inflammatory diseases of reproductive organs, endometriosis. 12th week: Basic gynecological surgical techniques in gynecology. Seminar Topics: 1. week: The role of the birth assistant in gynaecological ambulance 2. week: The role of the birth assistant in a child's gynaecologist office. 3. week: The areas of education in gynaecological ambulance 4. week: Preparation of a patient for the examination in gynaecology, the role of the birth assistant 5. week: The care after a woman with an inflammation of the outer genitals 6. week: The care after a woman with an inflammation in a breast 7. week: The care after a woman with menstruation cycle irregularities 8. week: The care after a woman with myomatosis 9. week: The care after a woman with precancerosis of the ectocervix 10. week: The care after a woman with ca of the uterus 11. week: The care after a woman with ca of the breast 12. week: The care after a woman undergoing a minor gynaecological operation 13. week: The care after a woman after a major gynaecological operation 14. week: The care after a woman with after-birth complications 15. week: The care after a woman with a serious after-birth complications

Learning outcomes
The subject is designed as a theoretical and practical unit for the birth assistants who are taking care of a woman throughout her life. The subject is a part of a complex set of basic specialized subjects for the field of midwifery which provides the students with the latest knowledge and information from the clinical field of gynaecology. The focus is put on the primary prevention which is an important part of the work of a birth assistant to care after the health of women of all ages being healthy and ill. The subject covers those pathophysiological states which are the most important for the quality of a female life. Nursing care is being taught in a form of a nursing process regarding the individuality of each woman. It follows the knowledge of clinical gynaecology, urogynaecology, oncogynaecology, gynaecology in childhood. The aim of the subject is to develop the skill to apply the knowledge in a real contact with women.
Subject Knowledge: Student describes the reproduction system of a woman. Student explains menstruation cycle of a woman. Student names basic examination methods used in the field of gynaecology and evaluates the parameters of the results. Student consults a woman before a gynaecological operation.Student knows the hormonal disorders in the reproduction system of a woman. Student is able to classify and define pathologies of female reproduction organs. Professional Skills: Student is able to use physical examination to determine the current state of a woman in a gynaecological ambulance. Student performs a nursing process for a woman undergoing a gynaecological operation. Student is able to consult a woman with an inflammation or undergoing some operation. Student is able to check and treat a wound/injury.
