Course content
Content of professional training: - Organization of Midwife´s work in gynecological - obstetric clinic - Introduction to the hygienic-epidemiological regime of the workplace - Introduction to the management of medical documentation at the workplace, the system of handling medical documentation and its storage - Provides oral and written information to the nursing team - Monitoring and indicative assessment of physiological functions - body temperature, breath, heart rate, blood pressure, body height, weight, consciousness - Evaluation of biological material, collection of biological material by invasive and non-invasive pathways - Obstetric and gynecological history - Assessment of external and internal pelvic dimensions - Monitoring of a pregnant woman with physiological and risky pregnancy, women throughout the fertile period - Education of women in the field of pregnancy, but also in general in the field of primary prevention - Participation in assessing the needs of clients, manifestations of their illnesses (assessment of the overall condition of the patient, taking a nursing anamnesis, evaluating the client, implementing the nursing plan, evaluating the overall care process, implementing all phases of the nursing process - active participation of PA in the entire nursing process, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing care.

Learning outcomes
Practice in the summer semester is based on the conceptual model of WHO health determinants, which is oriented on the area of health support and prevention of the disease and on training and mastering basic nursing, diagnostic and therapeutic activities in ambulatory nursing care facilities. Practice takes place under the direct guidance of a professional mentor and academic staff supervision. The prerequisite for successful completion of professional practice is the synthesis and use of acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired by the student during the course of their studies. Professional training is realized in gynecological - obstetric outpatient facilities.
Expertise: The student will understand the possibilities, conditions and limitations of the use of theory, methods of the field in practice. He / she knows the organization of the post in the workplace, where he / she practices. He / she is able to effectively use in practice acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills of Midwifery. Professional skills: The student is able to solve problems in the field using the professional knowledges based on a defined task. He/she knows the educational process and can use it in practice. It gains additional professional knowledge, skills and competences on the basis of practical experience and is able to evaluate the situation.
