Personality and Role of Manager in Organization / Typology, Characteristics, Authority, Characteristics of Successful Manager / Management Activities / Planning and Organizing in Healthcare Facilities / 4. Leadership styles, manager's responsibility, health care team 5. Public Relations as the main tool for communication of medical facilities 6. Decision making process in health care facility, Health control process 7. Quality management, processes and principles, Quality management concept, Quality management models in healthcare, ISO, SAK, EFQM, JCIA Seminar Topics: 1. Strategic management, strategic analysis / SWOT, PEST /, BSC 2. Specific examples of leadership style and motivation of people in health care. Team roles in health care 3. Learning outcomes
The course Management and Quality in Health Care is focused on acquiring basic theoretical knowledge concerning management with regard to its application in health care and quality management systems as a tool for improvement. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to teach students to apply basic managerial methods and techniques of decision making in management, organized and leading people.
Expertise: The student demonstrates knowledge in management concepts, managerial personality, organizational culture characteristics and is familiar with techniques used eg in changing organizational structure. He / she demonstrates knowledge of managerial roles at various levels of management and is able to determine the predominant type of management and activities of managers. The student knows the techniques used in problem solving and managerial decision making. Student knows basic characteristics of managerial cycle and managerial roles and processes Professional skills: The student can identify existing organizational culture and actively participate in its influencing and possible change. In the area of human resources, he / she can describe the basic principles of people management, including the adaptation process of employees, he / she can create job content with a focus on providing care by individual non-medical health workers in relation to legal norms. He is able to write down the shift schedule. General competences: In solving problems, the student is able to choose a suitable technique and on the basis of it find the cause of the problem and propose a solution for a difficult situation.
