Learning outcomes
The teaching of this subject is in English, it is focused on the international aspects of public health and on case studies with concrete examples from practice in the field of Global Health. All examples are evidence based, supported by literature references, mostly available in English. All case studies and practical examples used for lectures and discussed at the seminars focus on public health in international comparison, including differences related with various socio-economic, geographical, cultural and other indicators that determine health status of populations and access to health in different locations on our planet. Teaching is based on the use of case studies and concrete examples from practice, based on evidence, always in a global context.
Odborné znalosti: After completing this subject, the student can describe and explain the basic principles of cooperation in the field of global health. Can describe the role of individual entities in the global public health network and their priorities in terms of short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies Odborné dovednosti: After completing this subject, the student can analyze the health status of the population on a global scale, knows global programs in the field of public health, implemented in cooperation with various partners at all levels with an emphasis on public health protection, health promotion and disease prevention. The student has the necessary skills to analyze the health status of the population in an international context. Obecné způsobilosti: After completing this course, the student can apply basic competencies in global health in practice. The student orients himself/herself in the network of global partners dealing with the complex issue of public health.
