Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic topics of healthcare management in English. The course is designed on the basis of the sophisticated textbook Health care Management, 4th edition by Buchbinder, Shanks and Kite (2021). Learners will be introduced to English professional terminology in the various areas of management and thus develop their competence to succeed in the international jmarket in health care management.
Odborné znalosti: Students will get knowledge in the field of healh care management, notably in the field of managerial function and competencies, organizational behavior, strategic and personal management as well as financial management. Odborné dovednosti: Students will be able to apply the knowledge on managerial decission tasks in the health care sector, they will gain the analytical and strategical competencies as well as conducst practical measures in the field of healt care management in hospitals and ambulatory settings. Obecné způsobilosti: The students will be able to get the communication and relationship skills, professionalism, leadership as well as the knowledge of health care systems and bussiness related skills and knowledge.
