Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Basic bed unit - basic requirements for operation, specifics of gynecological and obstetric workplaces, including outpatient workplaces, reception, translation and release of a woman from a medical facility - bed adjustment. 2. Manipulation of p / k in bed, position in nursing, immobilization syndrome - manipulation with p / k. 3. Epidemiological regime in inpatient facilities, barrier nursing care, disinfection, sterilization, hand hygiene, possible problems - hand hygiene. 4. Hygienic care of a woman after gynecology and in the department of puerperium, specifics of women's hygiene, bath of a newborn, hygiene after emptying of MM, TS, possible problems - hygiene p / k, first bath of a newborn. 5. Emptying of TS, enema, nursing care during TS emptying, possible problems - application of enema. 6. Drainage of MM, catheterization of MM, single catheterization in women after gynecological surgery, during labor, in pregnancy and postpartum, introduction of PMK, possible problems - single catheterization, PMK. 7. Eating in health facilities, diets, alternative nutrition, nutrition principles after surgical procedures in gynecology and pregnancy, pregnancy and postpartum, newborn and child nutrition - nutrition, feeding. 8. Physiological functions, monitoring, evaluation and recording of parameters. Training techniques for measuring BP, P, TT, breath, consciousness. Monitoring and evaluation of excretion. Determination of possible nursing problems and their solution. Importance of FF monitoring - measurement of FF, BP, P, TT, breath. 9. Biological material and its use in diagnostics. Individual sampling techniques. Skills training. P / k cooperation. The most common collection of biological material in prenatal care, in preparation for surgery - Practical preparation, collection of urine and faeces. 10. Biological material and its use in diagnostics. Individual sampling techniques - blood collection, types 11. Application of medicine, theoretical introduction, the most common indication groups used in gynecology, application of pen drugs. os, by local route (to ear, nose, per rectum, per vaginam) - application of p. os drugs, etc. 12. Medicine application i.m, s.c, i.v - drug administration i.m, s.c, i.v.

Learning outcomes
The subject is both theoretical and practical and it is a core subject for the study field of Midwife. It helps develop initial skills required by the environment of professional training of a Midwife. The focus is on the training of these skills in the practical classroom and in simulated situations. The aim of the subject is professional training for the occupation of a midwife including complex nursing care for women in various age periods of her life.
Expertise: The student knows basic professional techniques for nursing care. The student explains the principles of professional performance in nursing care. The student demonstrates broad knowledge of techniques and principles of biological material collection. Professional skills: The student is able to perform and defend basic nursing procedures (bed adjustment, hygiene, diet administration, drug administration, introduction of PMK, introduction of venous cannula, administration of enema, etc ...).
