Course content
1. Terminological anchoring of the subject content in psychological disciplines - correlation (personality psychology, general and developmental psychology, psychotherapy) 2. Theoretical perspective: postmodern paradigm in psychology, social constructivism, Interactional symbolism 3. Narrative approach 4. Personality characteristics 5. Personal story 6. Communication skills, listening 7. Techniques for learning about experiencing emotions and empathy and self-regulation 8. Techniques for the development of interpersonal communication 9. Techniques for realizing moral attitudes. 10. Techniques for realizing one's own values 11. Framework educational plan and school curriculum (cross-cutting topics) and personal development of the pupil 12. Narrative pedagogy 13. Group and individual activities leading to the presentation and review of students' portfolios 14. Evaluation of axial development.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the issue of personal development of the student through the techniques of narrative therapy and counseling. It provides a basic overview of social-constructive approaches and narrative pedagogy in the field of work with one's own biography, self-concept and personal development of positive character traits of an individual. It teaches skills through narration, the formation of reality and personality, the ability of self-reflection, self-knowledge, communication, empathy in interpersonal relationships and motivation.
Students will gain an insight and master the possibilities of their own self-reflection and self-knowledge and their own development possibilities also in relation to the impact on pupils. They are oriented in the basic possibilities of supporting student development from the point of view of narrative approaches, including their application. At the same time, they meet the prerequisites for basic orientation in terminology and the application of acquired information and skills to their own learning activities. Practicing communication skills and empathy is an integral part. They are aware of and are able to seek the cooperation of other teaching staff and legal representatives in the event of further need for special pedagogical or psychological work with a pupil or class.

1. 80% active participation in lessons. 2. Seminar work on a selected topic 3. Preparation and presentation of the topic chosen by the student in front of the audience. 4. Written test of basic knowledge of the subject (from lectures, self-study, reading of professional literature). 5. Oral exam of mastering the topic.
