Course content
1) The term complex language analysis. Basic literature course. 2) linguistic analysis and comprehensive language analysis. The development of both terms and their place in the teaching of English in the past and at present. 3) The objectives and tasks of the complex linguistic analysis. Work with complex language analysis. The choice of texts. 4) -5) Contents of complex linguistic analysis. Analysis of text, stylistic, syntactic, lexical and word-forming, formative, audio and graphics. 6) -13) Comprehensive linguistic analysis - practical exercises.         14) Conclusion. Evaluation seminars.

Learning outcomes
The course involve students' knowledge of the Czech language at the high school level. The course deepens students' knowledge and comprehensive view of the linguistic analysis of written text. The course is for students to master complex linguistic analysis of short written text of any functionally-stylish area. Complex language analysis includes an analysis of the text (and stylistic) syntactic, lexical and word formation, sound and graphic and morphological levels of language.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students will receive a credit for 100% attendance at seminars and passing the final test. Final test involves complex language analysis of short written text from any funkčněstylové area. Tasks verifying the student's skills relate to the text (including style), syntactic, lexical and word formation, morphology and audio (and possibly graphics) plain language.
