Course content
The course is focused on acquiring basic knowledge from the area of ??sound of the Czech language and from the field of morphology of contemporary Czech. Students are expected to have a good knowledge of the Czech language at secondary school level and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical language exercises. The knowledge gained in this course will be used by the students in other related courses from the synchronous Czech language area. Topics of Lectures and Seminars: 1. Basic knowledge of the Czech language. Basic Bohemic Literature. 2. The stratification of the Czech language. Services of the Czech language. 3. The audio site of Czech. Vowel system. 4. The sound site of Czech. The system of consonants. 5. The sound site of Czech. The audio side of the continuous speech. Assimilation of silence, neutralization. 6. Czech spelling. Principles of Czech spelling, types of spelling. Spelling exercises. 7. Tvaroslovy současného češtiny. Verbal types and criteria for their classification. Tvaroslovná cvičení. 8. Grammar categories of names - gender, number of fall. Tvaroslovná cvičení. 9. Grammar categories of verbs - person, number, time, way, verb and gender. Tvaroslovná cvičení. 10. Naming system of names. Inflection of nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and numerals. Tvaroslovná cvičení. 11. Verb timing. A set of verbal shapes. Tvaroslovná cvičení. 12. Uncompromising word types - adverbs, prepositions, clusters, particles and cytoskeleton. 13. Current questions of Czech morphology.

Student: knows the stratification of the Czech language into its departments and semi-bureaus - orientated in the Czech language system, knows the principles of pronunciation - Manages lighter and more difficult phenomena of Czech spelling - can identify the verbal word function of an expression in a sentence - can determine the appropriate grammatical categories for flexible words                   controls the namespace and word timing system
