Course content
1. Introduction to the study. Course contents. Credit requirements. Study of literature. 2. Definition of the categories of disability and health disadvantage. 3. Characteristics of disability. Dividing by origin. 4. Diagnostics of a handicapped child. 5. Other disability accompanying cerebral palsy. The causes of cerebral palsy risk factors. Rehabilitation and therapy for children with cerebral palsy. 6. Child after brain injury and aftercare. 7. Psychological problems of the disabled. Responding to disability. Socialization of children with disabilities. 8. Education and training as part of comprehensive care for children with physical disabilities and physical handicaps. 9. The system of care and education for people with impaired mobility. Early childcare and physically disabled. 10. Conditions integration of physically disabled and sick child into mainstream kindergarten. Making IVP. Educational, rehabilitative and assistive devices. 11. Child with a chronic illness in kindergarten. Hospitalized child. 12. Specifics of education of handicapped and disabled children and youth. 13. Special methodologies for education of disabled and handicapped. (Development of motor skills, fine motor skills, communication skills). Augmentative and alternative communication. 14. Evaluation of teaching, saved work. Written test.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the characteristics and the definition of health, especially physical disability and health disadvantage, it is addressed to the issue of health deprivation and its educational implications, especially in relation to chronic diseases. The course includes information on early care for disabled and disadvantaged children and their education opportunities in the country. The course provides basic information about the characteristics of the preschool child with varying degrees of disability and focuses on the conditions for the integration of these children into mainstream kindergartens and provides basic information on the forms and methods of their education. Student defines the group of the most common disability and chronic diseases with which it is possible to encounter in school practice; defines the range and importance of early intervention in relation to individuals with physical disabilities and physical handicaps; masters basic activities and teaching practices when working with a physically handicapped child in kindergarten.
