The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of ecology and environmental sciences, with an emphasis on the possibility of implementing environmental education in nursery school. Students will be provided with the necessary amount of data and information on the individual components of the environment and identify ways how that information appropriately and nonviolently use in their practice. Students are introduced to the global problems of the contemporary world and realize its relationship to local and regional problems. Emphasis is placed on the development of selected aspects of environmental literacy of students, including environmental sensitivity. After completing the course student will orriented in a current environmental issue, will know the principles of environmental education in nursery school. Can explain the needs to increase environmental literacy teachers as a way of escalating environmental sensitivity of the child. Can explain the basic principles of sustainable development and the need for their implementation to human life.
After completing the course the student will individually focus on current environmental issues, either know the principles of environmental education in kindergarten. Can explain the need to increase environmental literacy teachers as a way of escalating environmental sensitivity of the child. Designing a short block of environmental activities (2-4 hours). Submission of the proposal in electronic form at a predetermined time. Perform this check lecturer who also recommend any adjustments.
