The course gives a brief overview oo Czech history from the first settlements of our country to present. The main emphasis is placed on monitoring the context of political history with regard to the pan-European context and cultural development. The course should equip students with not only knowledge about the history of the state, but also the ability to work critically with the information submitted. After completing the course the student will be able to focus primarily on the causes and consequences of individual historical events and tasks historically important personalities.
