Learning activities and teaching methods
unspecified, unspecified
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students the basics of statistical analysis of data obtained in quantitative educational research, namely data types and methods of their production / collection and processing, descriptive statistics variables, tabular and graphical presentation of data using spreadsheets, interpretation of acquired data, sample surveys and statistical decision-making procedures. Another topic is the processing of data collected in qualitative research, particularly qualitative research methods, processing and analysis of the qualitative data.
Students can: - Present the statistical data in tabular, graphical, and using quantitative indicators, - Use basic distributionns, - Analyze samples with emphasis on applications in education, use Excel spreadsheets, - Proper use of specialized terminology and symbolism, - Use communication skills in technical language and has acquired the means of graphic communication, - Analyze univariate and multivariate statistical area Student competences: Competence in the fundamental analysis of one-dimensional space, working with parametric and non-parametric data, character, competence continues to elementary mathematics, informatics and didactics.
Prerequisites
The subject requires no specific prerequisites.

Assessment methods and criteria
