1. Introduction: a basic conceptual definition. 2. History of lobbying. 3. Lobbying in the context of contemporary political theories. 4. Resources and functions of lobbying. 5. Strategies and techniques of lobbying. 6. Addressees and actors of lobbying. 7. Legal aspects of lobbying. 8. Lobbying and corruption. 9. Public affairs. 10. Lobbying in the world. 11. Lobbying in Europe. 12. Lobbying in the Czech Republic. 13. Conclusion: current trends and perspectives for further development.

Learning outcomes
The compulsory optional course focuses on lobbying as a normal part of the functioning of democratic states. The object of interest is therefore the definition of basic concepts, but also the analysis of lobbying strategies and techniques. The goal is to present a complex issues of basic approaches that are commonly used in lobbying analysis. Attention is also paid to the issue of public affairs and a comparison of the situation in selected countries.
The student will gain knowledge about basic concepts related to lobbying in a theoretical and practical perspective. He will acquire knowledge about individual theoretical starting points and will be able to apply them adquately. He will also gain practical knowledge oriented to different approaches to lobbying across democratic countries in Europe and the world.
