Learning outcomes
|
The course is devoted to the issue of political participation and representation. It focuses on several main topics. The first presents a general theoretical view of various forms of political participation (conventional vs. unconventional). The second describes the form of political participation in international comparison, including a closer look at the state of political participation in the Czech Republic. The third part of the course deals with the theoretical definition of political representation and political representation of women. The fourth part then focuses on the development of women's political representation in international comparison, including a closer look at the state of women's political representation in the Czech Republic, including reasons that explain the different levels of political representation of women in different countries.
The student is able to use professional terminology. The student distinguishes between different types of political participation. The student is able to characterize the differences in the level of political participation in different countries. The student is able to define the basic types of political representation. The student is able to explain various factors influencing the higher or lower success of women to participate in the political decision-making process. The student is able to characterize the specifics of the political representation of women in different countries.
