- Defining specific learning disorders (SLD) - Relation between different learning disorders and specific learning disorders - Causes of the development of specific learning disorders (hereditability, light brain dysfunction, its principle and symptoms) - SLD and the level of intellectual skills, laterality - SLD and education - Diagnostic of SLD, individual approach, individual development plan - SLD pupils' integration - individual types of SLDs - Common educational challenges - School - families collaboration - Undesirable family occurrences - challenges for re-education

Learning outcomes
Students shall be introduced to essential specific issues connected to specific learning disorders. In the course of the study they shall get knowledge of different types of specific school performance and motor function disorders, of causes and brief characteristic of common occurrences, and methods of re-education in special-pedagogical praxis. Following the acquired knowledge and skills the students shall be capable of good orientation within pedagogical counselling and intervention, methodology of diagnostics, and effective communication with their clients.
Based on the skills acquired the students are able to understand the issues of educational consultancy and intervention, use diagnostic methods for children suffering from impairment and subsequently perform effective communication with clients.
