Possibilities and principals of education of disabled and disadvantaged individuals - change of paradigms in approaches, current trends in care of individuals with specific needs - Classification, diagnostics and etiology of individual types of health disability and disadvantage - Selected problems connected with education and development of individuals with mental disability and disadvantage and their psychosocial specifics - Selected problems connected with education and development of individuals with sensual disability - Selected problems connected with education and development of individuals with learning disabilities - psychosocial specifics - Complex care of individuals with health disability or health disadvantage, educational and compensational tools and technical helping tools - Counselling for individuals with health disability or disadvantage, problems of employment etc.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the education of individuals with physical disability or disadvantage, their specific needs in education and social integration and fulfilling. Students will gain elementary overview of methods and forms of work which are applied in work with disabled individuals. Students have a general overview of terminology and elementary theoretical and practical issues of education and development of people with special educational needs. Students are able to characterize physical disability and physical disadvantage according to its seriousness. Student can apply their knowledge towards modern trends in care and education of disabled and disadvantaged individuals.
